How the tiers work
Each rate applies only to the revenue inside its tier, so a bigger cycle never raises the rate on revenue already counted. The steps in the chart are not drawn to scale.

Attribution in detail
A sale is attributed when the shopper reached the product through a recommendation. That happens in exactly two ways: the shopper adds a product to the cart directly from a recommendation — a widget card or a reordered collection — or clicks a recommendation, lands on the product page and adds the product from there.
Anything the shopper finds on their own — through your navigation, search or ads — is never attributed, even if a recommendation was visible on the page.
